How my journey began

Jacqueline P. Jones, M.S. (She/Her)

is a retired, thirty-six-year Human Resources (HR) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion professional. During her career, she was employed in an array of industries, including healthcare, financial services, and state and local governments. Jones received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Science degree from Virginia State University with a concentration in Clinical Psychology.

Jones’ interest in psychology grew out of a deep desire to help others. Her affinity for social justice and community advocacy developed at an early age while watching her father who was a local civil rights activist. Jones a former athlete, is an avid sports enthusiast who is involved in community service activities including volunteering as a youth water safety and swimming instructor. She describes her volunteerism as one of the most joyful and rewarding experiences of her life. Jones plans to write a children’s book in the future.
